What happens when the minor turns 18 or 21 years old?

The general principles for custodial accounts are the same across the county.  The only difference is the age when a minor can take control of the account.  The “age of majority” varies from 18 to 21 years of age and is based on the state.  Not to worry, Spark Gift and Spark Advisors will notify you when your minor has reached the age of majority and can now take control of their account.
